ARC: The Cultural Imaginary

Advanced Research Colloquium Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Bronfen

Spring Term 2008 . Thursday 18:00-21:00

This colloquium is meant to serve as a forum for doctoral and postdoctoral students to present and discuss their work in progress. It is linked to a similar colloquium at the University of Konstanz, taught by Juliane Vogel. We strongly urge students to join us for what promises to be an interesting trip across the border. We will also use this colloquium to continue what we began last fall term, namely an inquiry into critical investigations of the cultural imaginary. Authors to be read include Aby Warburg, Georges Didi-Huberman, Edgar Morin, Cornelius Castoriadis and Stanley Cavell.
