Lecture | Louise Bourgeois & Freud | 27.05.21

Elisabeth was invited by The Jewish Museum (New York City) to give a talk about Louise Bourgeois' engagement with Freudian psychoanalysis. Titled "Family Entanglements," the lecture explores Bourgeois' artworks as reflections on psychic pain and energies, born from belief that the unconscious can be made accessible through art.

The lecture took place in the context of the museum's current exhibit Louise Bourgeois, Freud's Daughter, which opened on May 21 and will last until September 12, 2021.
